Hello,
I am first Generation and I cannot speak Spanish. My father came from Acatic Jalisco in 1955 and he spoke no english. We even lived in Mexico when I was a little girl and I spoke it fluently when we came back. My dad never continues to speak Spanish to me. Unfortunately I didn't take it in school, it never made sense to me, it wasn't Mexican. So now when I see my relatives, my father speaks for us. Its very frustrating!
