I´m José Humberto Suárez Villarreal. I´ve been doing some research on my family, for almost 10 years or so I focused mainly in my maternal side (Villarreal De La Fuente Zertuche Rodríguez - from Nuevo León and Coahuila). But a couple of years ago I started with my paternal lines (Orozco, Moreno). Later I found interesting links of this families with the "Familias Alteñas" that were in Nueva Galicia since the times of colonization.

José Miguel Romero de Solís of the Colegio de Colima has published a seminal work with biographies of the earliest settlers of the town of Colima in the 16th Century.

This is more culture related that genealogy related - but la familia is about culture lived in the past and transmitted through the generations.

turns out she is descended from the Lorenzo Alvarez Tostado line!

Hola! I trying to find out all about my 4X GreatGrandfather Jesus Gonzalez (birth abt. 1780) on my fathers side. There is no information on who his wife was or if he got married at all.

I was wondering if somebody could shed some light on the several Guadalupe's
in the state of Zacatecas? In our family records, my great-great
grandfather's family comes from Guadalupe, Zacatecas.

Yo he investigado mi genealogía por varios años y he logrado buenos avances, los cuales estaría contento de compartir con ustedes. Se trata del apellido VITELA, mu abuelo fue Concepcion VITELA y nacio en 1900 en El Batan, Zapopan, Jalisco, fue hijo de Francisco VITELA nacido en 1866 - 1868 en JALPA, ZAC. y Juana VILLARREAL, y nieto de Gorgonio/Aurelio VITELA y Fermina/Emigdia LOPEZ de Zacateas tambien.

Christobal de Villalpando and Maria Antonia de Villareal are my 6th great grandparents. Does anyone know who their parnets were? I seem to have come to the end of the line.
