I have found the same with the films from Etzatlan. The baptism records for my family line have the children in one family labelled as Indios, Mestizos and coyotes! The priest made the determination. I suppose if the child was really dark than it was labelled as being Indio. In Etazatlan the people were seldom labelled as Espanol in the bapt., death and marriage records. I would expect the Zacatecas films to be similar. These were mining places and had many Indians and mestizos. But it was the priests who described the subjects in the documents. Gloria Has anyone studied these Informacion Matrimonial Filmsdon't recall seeing any totally Espanoles being married. So my question is that I'm wondering if these Informacion

Joseph,
How do you order these films? And I was wondering if you could tell me if
you see anything on them films about my grandparents marriage. He was Martin
Sandoval and she was Guadalupe Maria Arellano. Guadalupe's mother my
greatgrandmothers name was Corredeo, don;t know if that is a first name or
last name?
They were probably married sometime in the end of the 1800s or very
beginning of 1900's but I am not sure I only know my Dad was born in 1928
and I believe second to the youngest of 16 kids but then I have recently
heard it was only 10 kids and now not sure. Anyways would apreciate if
anyone could tell me if their marriage is in them films. Also to whom do I
order these films from and how much are they?
Thank you,
~~glo~~

Hello, My name is Jonathan Walker, I have been a member of the ranchos group, since April 2003. I just wanted to introduce myself, to the group. And to offer my help to anyone, in the group, in researching your genealogies (especially, those who have not sent in, your genealogies). I live, in Logan, Utah. About 90 miles north of Salt Lake City, so I have access, to the Family History Library, in Salt Lake. Also, here in the Logan Family History Center, we have Film/Fiche scanner, that will scan images to CD. Also, I have about 15 years experience, in researching genealogy, with roughly 13 years of that specializing, in Mexico, and about 4 years on staff at the Logan FHC. Anyone, who is interested in my help, please let me know. My e-mail is href="mailto:jonwalker@...">jonwalker@... or href="mailto:walkerjona@...">walkerjona@... . Thank you, Jonathan Walker 1140 North 230 West Logan, Utah 84341 |

Yes, my family descends from Joseph de Armijo and Catalina Duran. I have posted my family tree at Ranchos. Or you can go directly to: http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=gemglo At this time no marriage date has been found. But there are documents which refer to them at the following sites: >From Beyond ONMF, Internet site hosted by José Antonio Esquibel, Vol. 5 and Vol. 8: http://pages.prodigy.net/bluemountain1/beyondorigins.htm Both have extensive information on the Armijo family from Zacatecas. * * * * * * Gloria

Hello Group, I wanted to know if anyone has the surname Armijo in there genealogy preferably in Zacatecas. I am looking for a marriage date for Joseph de Armijo and Catalina Duran some time in the 1670's more or less or a baptism for Joseph de Armijo in the 1650's. These records would be in Zacatecas, Zacatecas, Mexico. Thank You, Angel R. Cervantes __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Get better spam protection with Yahoo! I was given this web address from my friend Angelo Cervantes, who is a member of your group. I would like to post a query on your website. The query that I would like to post is this: Seeking information on a Sebastian Antonio Maldonado, a native of Guadalajara, Mexico. He was born around 1680. He was a soldier who arrived in the Santa Fe Presidio (New Mexico) around 1704. I would also be interested in knowing if anyone has access to a military muster roll from Guadalajara - circa 1690-1700. Please consider my query. My email address is charmaldo@... I just spent a lot of time trying to find the postal zip code for my

Tlaquepaque is a southeastern suburb of Guadalajara on the way to Lake Chapala, and is famed for its many shops showcasing talented artisans. The buildings are colonial in nature, and the surrounding barrio is filled with color and vibrant life. Tlaquepaque is one of the most visited places for las turistas. The incredible Mexican artist Sergio Bustamante had his taller there. His works were featured at the California State Fair a few years ago as the premier artista de Mexico.
"Though born in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico, Sergio Bustamante has lived in the Guadalajara area since early childhood. In his youth, he studied architecture at the University of Guadalajara, but abandoned this pursuit when his talents and interests drew him to the fine arts and crafts. He began with paintings and paper mache figures, inaugurating the first exhibit of his works at the Galeria Misracha in Mexico City in 1966. FYI:
I found an author that has written many books on this area of Jalisco.
On the map it looks like a suburb of Guadalajara. If any of your
ancestors come from this area you should do a WorldCat search for the
books of Bernardo Carlos Casas.
He also has several books on Tlaltenango, Zacatecas. joseph
